Adv. Abbass recently gave a lecture in Ashdod, south of Tel Aviv, for teachers of people with visual disabilities, as a part of their qualification for the new school year. The lecture included three sections. The first section included a personal story from Adv. Abbass as a person who is visually disabled.

AlManarah Association recently organized an event at its Multi-Services Center in Nazareth hosting Mr. Hisham Awad, a bank manager at Bank Hapoalim Express Yafa an-Naseriyye (a village near Nazareth).

AlManarah recently cooperated with the Arab Academy of Art's two day Festival in Tawfiq Ziad neighbourhood in Nazareth. The event hosted various social justice organizations, who presented their visions and goals through art.

Following the success of AlManarah's Fifth Anniversary Event, which was held in May, and included the attendance of the Mayor of Nazareth, Mr. Ramiz Jaraisy, AlManarah decided to invite the Mayor to get closer to AlManarah's activities and to discuss ways of further cooperation.

AlManarah recently organized a seminar for imams at our Multi-Services Center in Nazareth. The main goal of the seminar was raising awareness among religious leaders in the Arab society of the rights of people with disabilities.

AlManarah has just initiated a new empowerment group in Shafa Amro town near Haifa. This new group will meet in the local blind persons club. The group includes 15 blind adults from Shifa Amro and the surrounding villages.

AlManarah has just launched an advanced cycle of our Trainers course, which includes twelve participants who are mostly academics.
