Last week Al-Manarah participated in the first meeting of the Advisory Committee to the Commission for Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities. Al-Manarah Director, Adv. Abbass, was selected to the Advisory Committee last October by the Minister of Labour and Social Affairs and the Minister of Justice, to represent all Arab persons with disabilities in Israel.

Stephanie Enyart isn't yet admitted in California, but the University of California-Los Angeles School of Law grad has already won what presumably is her first case.

Adv. Abbass Abbass, Director of Al-Manarah has received a letter signed by the Minister of Justice and the Minister of Welfare & Social Affairs confirming his nomination as a member of the Advisory Committee, which works alongside the Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities.

Al-Manarah recently participated in Adalah’s Camp for Law Students, which was held in ‘Neve Shalom’, a Peace Oasis near Jerusalem, which was entitled “Justice and Accountability of the State”.

Al-Manarah has received letters from Nazareth Municipality and from the Transport Ministry’s National Roads Authority, stating that they accept our request that they install audio traffic lights in Nazareth’s main street.
