Mr. Mohammed Diab, coordinator of the Fostering Social Awareness project, and Mr. Jalal Hareesh, a graduate of the Trainers Empowerment Group and Nazareth resident has conducted over twenty intensive workshops in the last few weeks in various Arab schools at Galilee High School and Sisters of St. Joseph in Nazareth,

Al-Manarah recently conducted a very unique workshop at its Multi-Services Centre in Nazareth. It was a raising awareness workshop for twenty students; ten Jewish students from Ranana High School, and ten Arab students from Ein Mahel High School near Nazareth.

Mr. Mohammed Diab, coordinator of the Fostering Social Awareness project has conducted ten intensive workshops in the last two weeks in various Arab schools including Ein Mahel High School (new to the project), Eiloot High School, Sisters of St. Josephs, and Nahev High School in the North.

Al-Manarah Multi-Services Centre hosted social work students for a seminar entitled “How to Deal with the Persons with Disabilities”. The students were from a second year course in the Social Workers School at Haifa University.

At Al-Manarah Association for the Advancement of the Blind in Arab society, our project ‘Fostering Social Awareness’ is one of the principal programs aimed at promoting legal and social awareness of the issues faced by the blind and visually-impaired.
