This week AlManarah arranged a huge paddling pool and slide for over 150 school children at the Deaf & Blind Elementary School in Nazareth.

Last week AlManarah awarded prizes to outstanding people with visual disabilities at our Multi-Services Centre in Nazareth, and these prize-winners showcased their talents. The event started with greeting from Adv. Abbass, AlManarah’s Director, who expressed his great pleasure at launching this award-giving initiative, revealing that these awards will be made annually from now on.

AlManarah Association celebrated its 5th anniversary last Tuesday May 25th at a big event at Nazareth’s Mawal Theatre Hall. Over 500 guests attended the event, including members of the blind community and their families, Nazareth Mayor, Mr. Ramez Jaraisi, Dr. Nir Tsuk, Director of Ashoka Israel, representatives of the JDC, and many activists, school teachers, supporters and friends.

Abbass Abbass, director of an association to advance the blind in Israel's Arab community, can just about see his e-mails if he uses a powerful magnifying glass. What he doesn't see is his disability.
